LENT 2012
The Young Adults of RCIA will be meeting every Thursday in Lent for a "Thirsty Thursday Lenten Sharing". This will be held at the home of one of the Young Adults. If you would like more information about this, please contact us.
There are also other Lenten Bible Sharing groups being organized through the parish. Contact the parish office for more details on existing groups or if you would be interested in starting your own group throughout Lent. These groups meet at church, in the homes of individuals, or other locations.
RCIA Monday Night Sessions
Please make sure that you are attending Mass each weekend and participating in the dismissals if you are in need of Baptism and 1st Communion. Attending Mass and these dismissals are crucial to those receiving Sacraments. If you are not able to or are not attending Mass each and every weekend, perhaps you should consider waiting another year to receive your Sacraments. Our Monday night sessions are used as a guide on your journey. On those nights we dig deeper into the scriptures and piece apart what we hear and experience at Mass. But the Mass is basis for everything we do and believe. It does not make sense to learn about our faith if we do not plan on being active in it. The purpose of receiving the Sacraments is to be able to fully participate in the Mass.
Know that God calls us all to Himself, in His own time. We should be discerning that call at all times. But God also waits for us. If we can not commit to God right now, let's stop for a moment and discern the question, "Why?"
